I caught the Bob Saget comedy special That Ain't Right on TV last night and almost wet myself. How is the loser dad from Full House (and the even bigger loser host of America's Funniest Home Videos) so damn vulgar and funny? Now I've found something not so fun in Adobe Photoshop called the Adobe Space Monkey. All this is is a new About Photoshop screen but it's neat nonetheless.

I shot an interview with Canadian author/artist Douglas Coupland yesterday for Webnation. I've been a fan of his for awhile (Microserfs is one of my favorite books) so it was great to meet and talk with him (Amber did the actual interview but the behind-the-scene chatter was a lot of fun).
In order to market his new book The Gum Thief (which is set in a Staples store), Random House has hired Crush Inc. to shoot videos depicting moments from the story. My favorite (below) uses the signs in a Staple store to show important events in the life of the main character. Is this now the norm for marketing books? Or does this only work for an author such as Coupland?

I found this video while working on the latest episode of Webnation. It is weird. Very weird! It starts great with the Yum Yum Shampoo commercial but then takes a disturbing turn. Just watch it.

The wearable Mitten Blanket from Hammacher Schelmmer is pretty silly (and for $69.95 US it is a rip-off), but I just can't stop laughing at the photo from the catalog (below). The model looks ridiculous wearing the blanket and holding a book with her mitten hands. Too funny.
