Food blogging

No, BAMCAT is not about to become a food blog (a food blog with "cat" in the title doesn't sound appetizing to me). This post is about a friend who is food blogging and doing a great job at it. Interesting articles (not just recipes), frequent updates and a love of the topic she's blogging about all make it an excellent source. Plus it's called Plum Tart which just sounds cool.

Yahoo! Food

It's starting to feel like fall in Toronto. The CNE opened this week, back-to-school sales are on, and you need a blanket at night. Personally, I like this time of year. It means that just around the corner we'll be cooking up a storm for Thanksgiving and Sunday dinners in our house.

Usually we check All Recipes or Epicurious.com for the best ideas on what to cook (and how). Well now there is a new kid on the block that's been getting my attention - Yahoo! Food. It's actually not new, I just don't use Yahoo! on a regular basis and only found it recently. The site has a nice layout, searches fast (and relevant), and actually has lots of great recipes.

They also have video, features from Martha Stewart, blogs, and an entire section for Special Days. If you're a foodie (or just looking for a recipe idea), I highly recommend checking out Yahoo! Food before your next feast.

 

Nintendo Candy and Japanese Kit Kat!

Just got some wacky treats I had to share.

First up is an NES controller tin filled with mints and a Power Up energy drink. Both of these were purchased at the University of Toronto Book Store.

The Japanese white chocolate Kit Kat bar below can be found at Sanko in Toronto (along with all the pocky in the world).
