TiVo IS available in Canada!

I was just watching this banned TiVo commercial and was surprised that someone commented "bring TiVo to Canada".

Although you can't purchase the TiVo devices in Canada - you can use it (legally) with our cable/satellite providers. TiVo even has instructions on how-to set it up in Canada on their site. What really surprises me is that it has been available for a long time and people still don't know!

TiVo should be promoting this a little better as we don't have any good PVR options up here and everyone seems to want a TiVo (think I'm going to pick one up on eBay soon).

I heard about this last month and looked into the prices...and got turned off. I'll probably set up a PC with Media Centre instead when I get some cash.
