Frank Gehry, toy hacking and Google tools!
Last week Amber, Barb and I attended the media event for Frank Gehry's Art + Architecture exhibit at the Art Gallery of Ontario.
Not only was it cool to see the exhibit (running until May 2006) but Amber also got to interview Mr. Gehry for commandN (he doesn't know how to use a computer but he loves his BlackBerry).
For those of you who do not know, Frank Gehry is a famous architect who has designed some amazing buildings (Walt Disney Concert Hall and the Guggenheim to name a few). He has also appeared on The Simpsons (image above) and in the Apple "Think Different" ad campaign. He is a true icon in my opinion.
It was quite the honour to be included with the traditional media at this event and my thanks go out to the folks at the AGO.
We also got to hack some toys at the YYZ Artists' Outlet with Rob Cruickshank on Wednesday night (organized by the elctronic media arts centre INTERACCESS). This was quite a bizarre event to say the least and we are going back for their video game hacking event on March 1st.
All this plus a great feature on Google tools by Jeff is in episode 34 of commandN (available to download in MPEG4, h.264, iPod, XviD and PSP formats at commandn.tv or you can view it online at YouTube or below on my site via Audioblog).
Photos from and all the events are up on my flickr page.
